The applied element of my work is very important to me - because art for me is an integral part of life, not something separate. What fascinates me about this process are the interactions: between art, design, construction, and technology; between expression and utility; between haptics and aesthetics; between heaviness and lightness. With my concrete design works, I want to manifest these dialogues in everyday spaces.
Each of my concrete works is handmade and hence, unique.
I use concrete, cement, and other materials that fall into my hands and catch my eye. I often integrate recycled and upcycled elements: things judged by the society as not useful anymore - that can then be transformed into something that communicates anew.
In my concrete lamps, I connect this with light bulbs in vintage look. In daylight - an artwork, after sunset: a light object that enchants and transforms your spaces.
